Why we built this
Roadmere exists for people who'd rather drive it than fly over it.
Most travel planning tools are built around the destination: pick a city, pick a hotel, pick a flight. Roadmere is built around the road itself. We map routes worth driving, collect the stories of people who've actually driven them, and help you book the parts of the trip — flights, stays — that fit around the drive, not the other way around.
What we do
Roadmere brings together three things every road-tripper actually needs: real routes mapped stop by stop, first-hand stories from travelers who've made the drive, and a simple way to search flights for the legs you'd rather skip. No generic "top 10" listicles — every route on Roadmere is meant to be driven, not just read about.
What we care about
-
1
Routes over destinations
We plan trips around the drive, treating the road as the point, not the gap between two airports.
-
2
Real stories, real drivers
Every story on Roadmere comes from someone who actually drove the route — not a copywriter who Googled it.
-
3
Honest about the business
When we link out to book a flight or a stay, we're upfront that it's through a partner — see our Terms and Privacy Policy for the details.
Where we're headed
Roadmere is still early. We're adding routes, opening up story submissions from the community, and building out better trip-planning tools. If you've got a route worth sharing or feedback on what we're missing, we'd genuinely like to hear it.
